Business Liability Insurance: What Types Are There?

There are several types of insurance that a business should consider. Most companies carry CGL or Commercial General Liability which covers injuries to individuals that occur on a job site or things of that nature. Another type of insurance is Errors and Omissions Coverage which covers the officers and directors if they do something in their normal course of business that causes injury. If a company has employees that are driving vehicles, then that company should consider carrying Business Auto Liability Coverage.

I get calls regarding employment practices claims on a weekly, if not daily, basis. This is when employees either quit or get fired and then make a claim that they were discriminated against as an employee. Employment practices insurance can be purchased and would cover not only the cost of defending the claim but also indemnity, should there be a valid claim made against the company.
